I'm a fullstack developer from Egypt. I have been working as a developer for over 3 years now. I started out with python and instantly fell in love with programming, writing my first "Hello world" program made me very very happy; the ability to print something out to my screen was amazing, I was used to playing video games and controlling pixels on the screen with wasd and the mouse, but this was new, different! I started out my journey in tech as a freelance dev after spending a few months learning html, css and javascript. I took a few freelancing jobs and the first money I ever made as a programmer came with a very keen sense of achievement! I then wanted to take the next step in my career and I applied to a few jobs, my first job was at scandiweb, it required me to learn yet another language, which was 'php'. I learned the language in a few weeks and started getting familiar with an agile and scrum working environment. From using Jira to track issues, to daily standup and email reports, this was my first experience with a team-based workflow. I then got offered a job as a senior full stack engineer at Algoriza (my current employer). at that point in my career I was very confident in my ability to code for both client and server side. I had a few projects under my belt and finally overcame my imposter syndrome!! I'm now the head of a team with 5+ other developers. Currently, I have started teaching programming as a hobby to my family and friends!
